The Falls Township Police Department regrets to announce the passing of retired Police Officer Yale Gottenberg, Badge 55, on Sunday, October 24, 2021.  Yale’s career with Falls Township began January 9, 1984, and spanned three decades as he retired June 16, 2015.  Yale had a very decorated career which included receiving two Medal of Valor awards.  Yale excelled at a variety of very important roles including firearms instructor, a field training officer, a DARE instructor, and perhaps most meaningful to him, an original member of the Falls Township SWAT Team.  Yale will be greatly missed by his brother and sister officers, however his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched during his thirty years of policing as well as the impact he made on his fellow officers through his mentoring.  We offer Yale’s family our sincerest condolences on the passing of a great man.  Services were held privately at the request of Yale and his family.
