HAPPENING NOW: POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT

At 1459 hours a Falls Township Detective came upon a shooting victim in a vehicle on the side of the road on Lincoln Highway at N. Olds Boulevard. The victim had been shot in the neck, said Falls Police Chief Nelson Whitney.

Responding patrol officers flooded the area and stopped a car containing the shooter a short distance away.  The shooter is in custody.  The victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Hospital in Trenton NJ.  The victim’s condition is not known at this time.

Citizens are asked to avoid the area of Lincoln Highway and N. Olds Boulevard at this time because of the ongoing crime scene investigation.  The area is still being searched for additional subjects.  Residents are asked to stay indoors and avoid the area.
