On June 16th, an officer was on patrol in the parking lot of the Home Depot, when loss prevention advised a male subject had attempted to leave the store without paying and abandoned the cart and merchandise. The officer observed the male subject, who refused to listen to the officer and ran on foot. He was apprehended and resisted arrest as the officer took him into custody. He was identified as Wilfredo Echevaria, after first providing a false name to police. Loss prevention also identified him as a subject who had committed a prior retail theft in April. He was wanted out of Philadelphia and Hudson County, NJ.
