On 09/30/2019 at approximately 1256 hours, Buckingham Police responded to the 700 block of Route 413.  Officers on scene located a single vehicle accident on private property.  Witnesses reported that a GMC Acadia, occupied by only the driver, traveled off the roadway and on to the property of 794 Durham Road.  The vehicle collided with a small retaining wall and came to rest.  Police initiated life saving measures, but were unable to revive the operator.  A 65-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver was identified as Roberta Aipel of New Hope, PA.  Buckingham Police were assisted at the scene by Lingohocken Fire Company.  Newtown Police assisted with traffic control around the scene.  Buckingham Police Traffic Safety Officers are continuing with their investigation along with the Bucks County Coroner’s Office.
