We at the Buckingham Township Police Department want to recognize our Brothers & Sisters in Yardley Borough at this difficult time.  In times when people are quick to criticize the police, Chief Kelly's heroic actions clarify the inherent danger of policing a free society.  Police are called to assist residents, businesses, and other agencies on a daily basis.  These actions occur usually without incident and to little fanfare.  In a beautiful Bucks County Borough with great residents this event is rare and unsuspected.  The officers of Yardley will continue to protect and serve that great community even though this violent act has rocked them to their core.  They will smile and wave to people they encounter on their patrols, while they wonder when and if this incident will repeat itself.  That is the nature of policing, the unknown.  God Bless Chief Kelly, Yardley Police, and the entire Borough.  You are the thin blue line and we have your back!
