PRESS RELEASE 23-002

On October 16, 2023 at 7:47 AM, the Buckingham Police were called to the Buckingham Springs Development (1490 Durham Rd), after a caller stated that he had shot his wife.  Upon arrival police attempted to contact the home by phone but there was no answer.  Officers approached the house and found a note taped to the door.  The note had directions for police to contact a specific family member.  Upon entering, police found a 88 year old male deceased with a single gunshot to his head.  In the rear of the residence, police found an 85 year old woman deceased.  She also had a gunshot wound to her head.  There were notes written to family members with directions on how to handle the estate and burial.  There was no forced entry to the house and nothing appears to be missing.  

Police are not releasing the names of the homeowners until all family members can be notified.  Case is still under investigation by the Buckingham Police and the Bucks County Coroner's Office.
