Today marks the start of our 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the "Warrington Township Police Force".

On November 10, 1970 The Warrington Township Board of Supervisors approved a Resolution creating a "Warrington Township Police Force". Robert J. McMahon was the first police chief hired, followed by John D Bonargo, James J. Miller, and current chief Daniel J. Friel.  Only 4 chiefs in our history! The department started with two officers that were hired in May of 1971.  Currently there are 36 men and woman serving the Warrington Community.  Later this week on Friday November 13, 2020 at 1000 hours Warrington Township Police Department will unveil the new police station with a dedication ceremony and building tours. In the spring of 2021 we will be hosting a 50th Anniversary celebration.  If you see our police cars driving around they are marked with a special 50th Anniversary logo on the sides.  This is a great week for your police department and more good news will be announced in a few months.  Thank you for all of your ongoing support.  Proudly serving with Distinction.
