Police Canine Graduation held yesterday at Penn Vet for 2 Warrington police Canines

Warrington Police Officers, Members of the Board of Supervisors, and our District Justice attended the graduation ceremony for the two new Warrington police canines at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center in Grays Ferry yesterday.  K9 Jolie with Officer Blanchard and K9 Murphy with Officer Plum along were presented a certificate for successfully completed patrol canine school for the past 10 weeks.  After the ceremony the canines and their handlers put on a demonstration of what they learned.  Both canines will start working their regular patrol shift next week.   In the spring they will go back to Penn Vet Working Dog Center for the second phase of their training called scent / odor school . Jolie will specialize in explosives detection and Murphy will specialize in Narcotics Detection.

Both Warrington canines started working for the Police today and we started with doing some meet and greets at the Township building. Working out very well so far.  Our canines are very social!  Come on by this afternoon or tomorrow.

Congratulations and Job Well Done!
