Plum Children receive generous educational scholarships from The Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation
Last week, the family of late Officer Stephen Plum, Jr. received a very special gift from a very notable organization whose mission is “Educating the children of those who sacrificed all.” The Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation have been in contact with our department and the Plum family for weeks in an effort to secure scholarships for each one of Officer Plum’s five children’s education.
On Thursday, members of the MC-LEF presented Mrs. Plum with significant scholarships for each one of her children.
The Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation is dedicated to our heroes, the brave men and women who admirably serve our country and fellow citizens. Since their founding in 1995, MC-LEF has awarded over $72 million in scholarships and other humanitarian assistance and has supported over 3,900 recipients. MC-LEF is an approved IRS 501(c)3 organization that has been recognized for their excellence and efficiency by the Independent Charities of America.
We are so grateful for the organizations who continue to support and honor Officer Plum and his family.
