Warrington Police are working with township schools and organizations in the community to help identify children and families in need. Police have partnered with Walmart to give these children and families a joyous Christmas. Twelve to Fifteen officers volunteer their time to participate in the event. Chief Friel said that officers are usually called in negative situations. This can be a positive impact on the community. The event not only helps families in need, but also develops positive relationships between youth and officers.
This year will be our biggest event. We partnered with 3 Central Bucks Elementary Schools. The families in need selected were issued a special invitation and a bus pass to attend the event.
