Dog Bite Investigation; WT-22-08862

On July 31, 2022, the Warminster Township Police Department responded for a dog bite in the area of Caledonia Drive, Warminster PA 18974.  The dog’s owner received injuries as a result of the incident.  The dog was subsequently taken to Warminster Township’s kennels for quarantine and for it to be surrendered due to the incident.  While back in the area of the township kennels, the dog escaped the yard and ran into the neighborhood (near Cheryl Drive and Dahlia Road). The dog is described as a 2 year old male, white and black pit bull, with a dark colored collar and answers to the name "Chance". The owner advised the dog has never been aggressive to other animals or people until tonight.  If anyone sees the dog, please safely monitor the dog's location and call 911 immediately for police assistance.  Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
