On May 31, 2020 the Warminster Township Police became aware of a planned peaceful march to the Warminster Police station in response to the tragedy that occurred in Minnesota. On June 1, 2020 the Warminster Township Police Chief James Donnelly had the opportunity to speak directly with the organizers of this march and had a truthful and productive conversation regarding the tragedy in Minnesota and the use of force in general. Chief Donnelly and the entire Warminster Township Police Department value human life and dignity above all else and are committed to the safety and security of everyone in our community while protecting and defending our constitutional rights in a fair, unbiased and equal manner. As our values statement says, the Warminster Police Department is responsible for our actions and answerable to our community. We are part of a team and we work hard to promote teamwork within the department and the community. The Warminster Police will always be committed to putting the welfare of the community and the police department before the individual. Chief Donnelly looks forward to future meetings with the community and our community leaders to maintain a productive dialogue and foster a better understanding with the community we serve and protect.
