To the Community,
On Behalf of the men and women of the Warminster Police Department, I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with an update as to the status of the Police Department as it relates to the CoVID-19 epidemic. As you should expect, we as a police department are at the forefront of this epidemic utilizing all of our available resources to help and protect our valued community. I am aware that there are members of the community that need more attention than others at this time. I am also very aware of the impact felt by the businesses in our community that have been affected by closure orders. The information flow surrounding this epidemic has been fluid and evolving resulting in many changes to protocols for our officers within short time frames. As a result, this has led to a delay on our social media presence as I want to provide you the most accurate information possible. Please understand that I have been keeping the Township Manager advised of our activities, who in turn has been ever present on Facebook keeping you advised.
As a result of this unexpected change in living, I have had to temporarily change some of our standard protocol’s such as response and service provided. I ask that you please be cognizant of the fact that our officers are learning and conforming just as you are. Some things that I am temporarily suspending are in station complaints, the drug take back program and in station fingerprinting. Furthermore, I am altering how we address your concerns when you call us. We may opt to call you from our headquarters or ask you to step outside when called to your location as a matter of instituting social distancing to protect the community and the officers. Currently the department is comprised of only 43 officers. However just one officer getting sick can affect the entire department and a large mass of the community. On behalf of the entire Warminster Township Police Department I would like to thank the following individuals and businesses that have gone out of their way to help us in our effort to combat sickness and promote the health of our officers and the community.
Joe Cowhey Warminster Shop Rite cleaning supplies
Holli Mullins A-1 Pest Control N95 mask
Jamil Huma Costco Cleaning supplies
Chris Bisler Tri County Electric N95 mask

On behalf of the entire Warminster Township Police Department I would also like to express our sincere thank you to the numerous anonymous community members who have sent us food, bought officers lunch or meals, shared supplies and have gone out of their way to thank our officers for their service. These kind gestures go a tremendously long way with our officers. The entire Police Department is extremely grateful for all the community members who have endured the burden and sacrifice required during this difficult time to keep all of us safe. This has not gone unnoticed. Through this event The Warminster Police Department will remain steadfast and committed to helping our community through this crippling time. I would like to assure everyone that the most important mission of the Warminster Township Police Department is the health and safety of all our community members. The Warminster Township Police Department is here, it is healthy, and it is ready to response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days out of the year.
