The Warminster Township Police Department arrested Chance Michael McCulley-Newman (B/M 20 yoa of Hilltown Pa) in connection with the transfer and possession of a stolen firearm that was recovered by the police on September 28, 2019. An individual was arrested for retail theft and was found to be in possession of a stolen Taurus .40 caliber handgun. The source of the handgun was determined to be McCulley-Newman. McCulley-Newman was taken into custody in Hilltown Township without incident and turned over to Warminster Police Detectives. McCulley-Newman was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a Felony 3 and violations of the PA Uniform Firearms Act. He was arraigned before MDJ Daniel J. Finello Jr. and released on $35,000 unsecured bail. A hearing date will be set. The firearm was recovered and is in police custody. The owner has been located.
