On 8/10/17 at 0005 hours, a patrol officer stopped a vehicle on Southbound Davisville Road near Toll Drive for a traffic violation. The officer made contact with the female operator of the vehicle and due to her not having any identifying documentation she provided the officer with a name, date of birth and social security number. The officer attempted to verify the information the female provided but soon determined the identity she had given was false. Further investigation into her identity revealed that her true name was Audrey Metzger and her driver’s license was suspended.
Officers noted that the vehicle was full of miscellaneous bags, boxes, bins and observed three other vehicle registration plates, two from Ohio and one from Pennsylvania. A data search of the Pennsylvania registration plate was performed and discovered to be stolen out of the Perkasie Borough Police Department.
Metzger was taken into custody for receiving stolen property as well as several violations for her vehicle. She was processed and later released with the investigation into the other registration plates still on-going. The investigating officer followed-up and discovered that both of the Ohio registration plates had been stolen from a storage facility in Loraine, Ohio. On 8/29/17, charges against Metzger were filed with District Court.
