On 9/11/17, Haws surrendered to police on the arrest warrant that was issued against him for failing to respond to a summons from District Court in regards to his arrest on 5/29/17. He was arraigned by District Justice Benz and his bail was set at $5,000.00/unsecured.
On 5/29/17 at 0340, officers stopped a vehicle being operated by Jarod Haws in the 100 block of Street Road for a traffic violation. Upon speaking to Haws and him performing field sobriety tests, officers formed the opinion that he was operating the vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. Subsequent to his arrest, officers also located drug paraphernalia inside of his vehicle. Haws was processed and later released with charges being filed by summons.
