On February 3 2019, at approximately 0220 hrs, an officer from the Upper Makefield Twp. Police Department, observed a vehicle traveling 15-20 mph under the posted speed limit on River Rd. After observing the vehicle being operated in a careless manner, weaving about the roadway, the officer stopped the vehicle. Once stopped, the officer detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver, the driver to have slurred speech and be confused. The driver, one Michael Lerner of Philadelphia, was asked to exit the vehicle to perform field dexterity tests. Due to Lerner's physical condition, for safety reasons, Lerner was not asked to perform the tests. Lerner was taken into custody for the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Lerner consented to a blood test.
