On September 29th, 2019 at approximately 0226 hrs, an officer from the Upper Makefield Twp. Police Department observed a truck driving erratically on River Rd in the area of Cedar Glen Dr. The officer stopped the truck after observing the driver failing to maintain the vehicle in its lane of travel. The driver of the vehicle was identified as one, Ralph Ferguson Jr. of Bensalem, who had an odor of alcohol emanating from his person. Ferguson consented to field dexterity testing, and based upon the totality of the officer's observations, it was believed that Ferguson was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol to a degree which rendered him incapable of safely driving a vehicle. Ferguson was taken into custody and was transported back to the Upper Makefield Twp. Police Department where he consented to a blood test.
