On October 19, 2024, at approximately 1:08 PM, the Tinicum Township Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of River Road. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had collided with a tree. The driver, identified as Danielle Strobridge, and the passenger, Michael Amend, were the sole occupants of the vehicle.

Mr. Amend sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Preliminary observations at the scene raised concerns of impaired driving, prompting further investigation.

The Bucks County Crash Investigation Unit responded to assist with a comprehensive investigation of the crash. As a result of the detailed investigation, a warrant was issued for Danielle Strobridge’s arrest on charges including Homicide by Vehicle – DUI.

On June 26, 2025, Ms. Strobridge voluntarily surrendered to authorities. She was processed, arraigned, and released pending further court proceedings.
