Missing person William Allen Brewer - located deceased on May 29, 2018 around 1:00PM.
Solebury Township Police Department received information in regards to this investigation from social media postings which led investigators to the Delaware Canal along the unit block of Route 29 in Stockton, NJ. Investigators from both Solebury Township Police and New Jersey State Police, Kingwood Barracks conducted an extensive search of this area utilizing search and rescue K-9’s, boats and divers. At around 1:00PM the body of William Allen Brewer was located in the canal along the southern portion of Stockton, NJ. The investigation is ongoing by New Jersey State Police, Solebury Township Police and Hunterdon County, NJ Medical Examiners Officer. Preliminary information, it is believed that Brewer’s cause of death is accidental.
Solebury Township Police Department assisted by, New Jersey State Police, Kingwood Barracks, Lambertville Police Department, Stockton Fire Co., Lambertville-New Hope Rescue, Hunterdon County EMS, New Hope Eagle Fire Co, Point Pleasant Fire Co., Dive Rescue, Garden State Search and Rescue, Columbia Fire Co. and detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office.
(CANCEL) On May 28, 2018 the Solebury Township Police Department received information in regards to a missing person. Individual, William Allen Brewer, 51 of Solebury Township.
Brewer was last heard from by family during the evening of May 25, 2018. On May 29, 2018 this department received information from an individual that Brewer was seen along the canal towpath in Stockton, New Jersey near Brookville Hollow Rd. around 7:00PM on May 26, 2018.
