The Richland Township Police Department consists of 16 full-time police officers and 2 administrative civilian employees. The department covers 21 square miles, with over 77 miles of public road and over 13,000 residents. The department has officers trained in Crisis Intervention, Drug Investigations, Car Seat Installation, Motor Carrier Traffic Enforcement among many other disciplines. The department is part of Central Bucks Special Response Team and cooperates on many levels with The Quakertown Borough Police Department, including a School Resource Officer for the Quakertown Community School District. The department carries naloxone to assist those in need due to an opioid overdose.
