Quakertown Police Testing

POLICE OFFICER - The Civil Service Commission of the Borough of Quakertown, Bucks County, is now accepting applications for the position of police officer in Quakertown. The Borough is a full-service municipality with a population of approximately 9,500 and a full-time police department of twenty-one sworn officers.  Candidates will be chosen from the Bucks County Police Chief’s Association consortium test which will be on April 20, 2019, at Central Bucks South High School, 1100 Folly Road, Warrington, PA 18976.  Applications can only be made on-line at www.buckscountypolicetest.com and must be completed no later Friday, April 12, 2019 by 4:00 PM.  There is a $50 application fee.  Registration will begin at 7:00 AM and the physical agility test will begin at 8:00 AM.  Those successfully completing the physical agility test will be permitted to take the written exam immediately following the physical agility test. Candidates for a position with Quakertown Police must pass the written test with a minimum score of 85% and must possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree from a nationally accredited college or university, or sixty (60) or more credits toward a Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally accredited college or university and continues to matriculate toward a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to law enforcement. Starting salary is $69,000 per year.   Maximum patrol officer salary is $95,879 per year.  An excellent fringe benefit package is included.  The Borough of Quakertown is an equal opportunity employer.
