Suspicious Activity



The Plumstead Township Police Department is investigating three separate incidents involving suspicious people in the Patriots Ridge Development. On Friday March 8th a resident of the neighborhood reporting seeing a suspicious light skinned black female with dreadlocks taking pictures of residences in the 3700 block of Nancy Ward Circle. The woman was approached and questioned as to what she was doing. Once confronted, the woman fled on foot and left the area in an older model tan vehicle. Police were not notified of this incident until the following day.

On March 11th, at approximately 1255pm, another resident of the neighborhood reported seeing two men park their vehicle and approach a residence on Captain Molly Circle. One of the men rang the doorbell and appeared to be looking inside the window. The resident didn’t recognize the male, so they didn’t answer the door. A photo of the male was recovered from a video camera mounted in the vicinity. The male was seen entering into a grey Acura and leaving the area.

The third incident occurred today, March 12th at approximately 1:55 PM when a resident in the 5400 block of Rinker Circle observed a black male wearing a suit taking pictures of houses. Once the male realized he was being watched by a neighbor, he fled on foot to his green older model Toyota Camry and left the area prior to officers arriving.

The PTPD is asking if anyone recognizes the male depicted in this image to please contact PTPD or if anyone has any other images or information pertaining to the suspicious people, please contact us at 215-766-8741 or leave an anonymous tip using the Crimewatch website. Lastly we would ask all residents if you observe any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods to please contact the police immediately.
