On July 23, 2022, Plumstead Officers responded to a residence in the 5100 block of Old Easton Road, for a male vs female physical domestic. Upon the Officers arrival, the male half of the argument had fled the residence. The investigating officers were informed by an adult female, that her boyfriend, Michael Leedom, 59, of Warrington, assaulted her with hammer after he pulled her hair, threw her to the ground, then strangled her. The female had injuries consistent of being struck with a blunt force object, along with other injuries consistent of the assault, and was later transported to a local hospital for her injuries.
The Officers made all attempts to locate Leedom that evening, but he was not located. A warrant was issued for Leedom's arrest, and on July 27, 2022, Leedom was located and arrested by Plumstead Officers.
He was arraigned before a Magisterial District Justice on Aggravated Assault and several other related offenses. Leedom’s bail was set at 10% of $200,000 and he was remanded to the Bucks County Prison, but has since made his bail and was released.
