On July 4, 2020, the Plumstead Township Police Department spoke with a female in the 1000 block of N. Easton Road after she reported an unknown male entered her room without her permission in the early evening hours of July 3, 2020. The male was identified by officers as Mark Butler, 61, of Doylestown. When Butler entered the room, the female victim was sleeping and awoke to Butler touching her inappropriately. Further investigation revealed Butler was observed by witnesses peering into the woman’s room and pulling on several room doors. Butler was taken into custody on July 4th and charged with one count of Burglary, one count of Criminal Trespass, one count of Indecent Assault, one count of Loitering and Prowling at Night and Disorderly Conduct.
Butler was arraigned before District Justice Daniel Baranowski, who set a secured bail of $75,000. Butler is currently being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
