On July 16, 2021 Hilltown Township Police were advised of a wanted subject in their jurisdiction. While Hilltown units were enroute, it was reported that the subject, Joseph Mastromatto was on foot and possibly heading towards the Perkasie/Sellersville area. Perkasie Borough Police observed a subject walking on Bethlehem Pike near the Sellersville border. As Perkasie Police were preparing to stop to speak with the subject, later positively identified as Joseph Mastromatto, he fled southbound through the backyards of several residences along Main St. A Hilltown Officer pursed on foot and Mr. Mastromatto eventually stopped on his own and surrendered. Mr. Mastromatto was taken into custody by Hilltown Police without further incident. Mr. Mastromatto was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and charged by Perkasie Police with Resisting Arrest and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. PA State Parole confirmed the warrant and issued a detainer. Mr. Mastromatto was transported to Bucks County Prison and released to prison staff.
