On the 24th of May at around 1am, an officer observed a red sedan driving on Lincoln Hwy without a functioning driver's side headlight. In addition, the registration on the vehicle came back as "Tag Only" status, which is an informational record, and not for use on a motor vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 17-year-old driver. While speaking to the driver, the officer could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were recovered from the vehicle. The subject's parents were called and they both arrived on scene. Both the car and the subject were released to the parents. In addition to the charges for possession of the marijuana and paraphernalia, the subject will be cited for driving without a functioning headlight, driving at a prohibited time for minors and a registration violation.
