Emergency Police Activity: Mill Creek Road Wrightstown, Pa

Wrightstown, Pa: On September 20, 2017 approximately 3:30 p.m. the Newtown Township Police Department responded to a residence in the 900 block of Mill Creek Road for a check the well-being of a 64 year old male resident. While investigating, officers learned that the male may be experiencing mental health issues and that he possesses firearms. Officers on the scene did hear a single gunshot from the area of the residence and the South Central Bucks County Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) was activated. At approximately 7:40 p.m., Newtown Township Police, along with other local departments and SERT were able to successfully make contact with the male by placing him into custody and then address his mental health crisis. No injuries were reported from the scene.
