On March 13, 2018, Samuel Tyreas was arrested in Delaware County on unrelated charges, but was held due to a Newtown Township Police Department arrest warrant and he now resides at the Bucks County Correctional Facility where he awaits his preliminary hearing.
On August 16, 2017 Newtown Township Police were called out to McCaffrey's Food Market for the report of a retail theft. It was reported that a white male and a black male, both in their mid-twenties to early thirties, had stolen approximately $190.00 worth of over-the-counter allergy medication. The black male has been identified as Samuel Tyreas Thomas, Jr, of Bensalem. A warrant has since been issued for Thomas, Jr. for retail theft (M-1), criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft and receiving stolen property.
