On February 21, 2018 at 1506 hours, Newtown Township Police were dispatched to South Lancaster Lane to check the well-being of the operator of a maroon Hyundai Sonata that was slumped over the vehicle's steering wheel with the radio blaring. While en route, police were advised that the vehicle was moving. Upon arrival, police made contact with the driver, 28 year old Edne Pierreson of Ewing, NJ, and observed that Pierreson was confused and unsteady with red, blood shot eyes and slurred speech. Pierreson was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. He was processed and released at Northampton Township Police Department. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
