On March 22, 2017, Newtown Township Police were dispatched for a retail theft that occurred at Design for Vision in Newtown Township involving a white male suspect who fled the store with approximately $2,000 worth of RayBan eyeglasses. Police investigation revealed that the suspect is described as a white male, thin build, approximately 6 feet tall, appeared to be in his late 20's, with short, light brown hair and wearing a dark colored jacket and blue jeans. Video surveillance in the store provided images that were circulated to the public and area police departments.
On March 23, 2017, the Upper Southampton Police Department investigated an incident at the Glasses Galore store in their jurisdiction in which they had contact with Davin McDowell Mundy who fit the description from the retail theft that occurred in Newtown Township. Newtown Township Police responded and ultimately identified Mundy as the suspect from the retail theft and he was arrested, arraigned and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
