Newtown Township, PA - On December 26, 2019 police were contacted by an Uber driver in reference to a customer they had just picked up on Magnolia Drive. When the male got into the Uber he was communicating to his "significant other" via FaceTime. The male stated that he was "going to hell for this" while showing the other person on the phone a Nikon camera, Channel perfume and was also talking about coins. Overhearing this conversation, the Uber driver suspected that the male had just stolen the camera from somewhere on Magnolia Drive. The Uber driver informed police that the account name used to request the service was "Shiykier." The male suspect was wearing a uniform identifying him as working for a home health aide service. On December 27, 2019 detectives called the home health care service and discovered they had an employee, Shiykier Davis, working the day before at a residence on Magnolia Drive. Police made contact with the victim who confirmed that Davis had been in her home and had been "acting differently." She also stated that her Nikon D7000 digital camera, two bottles of Channel perfume and an undetermined amount of coins were missing. Through the course of investigation it was learned that Davis's girlfriend, Krista Chadwick, had sold a Nikon camera to a pawn shop.
Felony arrest warrants were filed on Davis and Chadwick. On January 23, 2020 Newtown Township Police were notified that Davis had been arrested by Philadelphia Police. He was subsequently transported to Northampton Township Police Department where he was processed and arraigned by MDJ Petrucci. Davis was then transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, which had been set at $50,000 (10%).
