On April 5, 2018 at 1100 hours, 32 year old Philip Abruzzese of Newtown, PA was arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Michael Pertucci and processed at the Northampton Township Police Department. Abruzzese has been charged with several counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property in connection to retail thefts that occurred February 7th and 11th, 2018 at the Ace Hardware of Newtown and the CVS Pharmacy of Wrightstown. Abruzzese was released on an unsecured bail of $50,000.
Newtown Township Police are investigating a retail theft that occurred on February 7, 2018 at 6:18 p.m. at Ace Hardware of Newtown. The two white male actors in the theft worked in concert with each other to remove the following merchandise from the store without paying: Battery packs, Dewalt and Toro cordless drills. Attached are pictures of the actors as well as a picture of their vehicle that can be seen through the front doors of the business.
