On Friday, October 12th, 2018, officers responded to a residence on Galway Circle for the report of a burglary not in progress with over $10,000 stolen. Officers interviewed several people that we at the residence as well as dusted for fingerprints and swabbed for DNA. Officers developed a suspect, named Sharon Rissi, based on information obtained in the interviews as well as utilizing the License Plate Reader (LPR) system. Officers interviewed Rissi, who is the daughter of the victim, and she confessed to stealing the money. Officers then found that Rissi had pawned property that belonged to the family for over a year prior to this crime, bringing the total loss in excess of $12,000. This case was originally reported as a burglary, but was found to be a theft. Rissi was charged on December 3rd, 2018 and an arrest warrant was obtained. Rissi turned herself in at police headquarters on January 7th, 2019. Rissis has since waived her preliminary hearing and the case has been forwarded to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
