On July 6, 2022, at 10:00 pm, Hilltown Police responded for the report of a traffic accident with injuries in the area of Route 309 in the area of Reliance Road. Investigating officers arrived to find a single vehicle crash in which a Toyota Camry had struck the guardrail. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as: Roland J. Christy III, 52 years of age, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania. Hilltown Police were assisted by Grand View EMS, Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company, Telford Volunteer Fire Company, and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash and the accident is still under investigation.
