DUI Arrest: On May 22, 2019 at 10:36 pm, Hilltown Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Route 152 and Hilltown Pike. The operator displayed signs of alcohol related impairment. Charged: Charles Murgia, 56, of the 100 block of Baringer Avenue in Silverdale, PA. Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
DUI Arrest: On May 24, 2019 at 12:23 am, Hilltown Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. The operator displayed signs of alcohol related impairment. The driver refused to submit to a blood test. Charged: Kenneth Kapusta, 59, of the 1300 block of Diamond Street in Sellersville, PA. Charges: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Fatal Drug Overdose: On May 24, 2019 at 06:23 am, Hilltown Police responded to a residence on Reliance Court for the report of a possible drug overdose of a 28-year old male resident. Responding officers administered Narcan and performed CPR until Paramedics from Grand View Hospital arrived and determined that the male was unable to be revived. Police were also assisted by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office. The death remains under investigation.
Theft Investigation: On May 25th, 2019 at 12:17 pm, Hilltown Police met with the owner of a local landscaping company in the 4500 block of Bethlehem Pike. Employees reported that an unknown actor stole the catalytic converters from two commercial vehicles that were parked at the business.
