OPERATION URGENT AID

                                                                           UPDATE FROM CHIEF WHITNEY

I want to take a moment and thank everyone in our community of Falls Township and the greater Bucks County area for their support of our ongoing efforts to provide vital supplies to the people of the Ukraine.  We have named this ongoing effort “Operation Urgent Aid.”

In the one week since beginning this operation, we have received donations from many members of the community as well as numerous other Law Enforcement agencies.  Penndel PD, Morrisville Borough PD, Philadelphia Major Crimes and Solebury Township PD are among our partners who have donated body armor and supplies.  Over 100 ballistic vests have been collected and donated so far.  In addition, Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, Family Service Association, and Home Depot have donated supplies.  These donations will help save the lives of those who are in peril in Ukraine.

All of these donations are picked up at our HQ and taken to the Ukrainian Education and Cultural Center (UECC) and then flown to Europe.

Our partnership has now expanded to include the Chief’s of Police Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Ukrainian National Woman’s League of America (UNWLA), Philadelphia Regional Council.  Donation locations now span three counties – Bucks (FTPD), Montgomery (Abington PD) and Delaware (Nether Providence PD).  Please examine the updated donation list in this post.

We admire the strength and resolve of the Ukrainian people and we stand with them in their fight for freedom and democracy.  Slava Ukraini!
