Applications are now being accepted for the Bucks County Consortium Testing at the Bucks County Police Training Center. 

Applications must be returned no later than Friday, September 19, 2014  4:00 PM.  Applications received after the cutoff time will not be considered.  Applications will be limited to the first 300 applications received.

Candidates are selected from the consortium testing that is sponsored by the Police Chief’s Association of Bucks County and the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center. The testing is conducted annually and the consortium represents approximately  21 police departments in Bucks County. The consortium testing includes a physical agility test and a written examination.

An oral examination and a background investigation will be conducted by the Falls Township Police Department. Candidates successfully completing the process will be placed upon the Falls Township Police Officer Eligibility List. The list is active for one year. If offered employment, the candidate must pass a physical and psychological examination.

Requirements for Falls Township Police Officer:

  • At least 21 years of age

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. or acceptable equivalency

  • Citizen of the United States

  • Good physical condition and moral character

  • Current license to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

  • Residency in PA and within 30 miles of Falls Township Municipal Building within 1 year of hiring

  • Out of State applicants must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License within 30 days of hiring
