A Falls Township man has been charged with attempted homicide for stabbing, beating and choking his wife. Bao Thien Le, 24, of the 200 block of South Olds Blvd., was arrested Thursday afternoon after township police found him in the act of choking his 22 year-old victim.
Officers made entry to Le's residence just before 3:30 p.m. while responding to a 9-1-1 call stating a man at that address was choking a woman. Police ended the attack by physically removing Le from his victim, said Falls Police Lieutenant Whitney.
The woman received medical treatment for her injuries, including several stab wounds to her head and torso. Evidence shows the woman was stabbed with a screwdriver. Her injuries are not life threatening.
Le faces counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, strangulation and recklessly endangering another person. District Judge Maggie Snow arraigned the man at 12 a.m. Friday and set bail at 10% of $150,000.
The case has been assigned for prosecution to Assistant District Attorney Megan A. Hunsicker.
