On September 6, 2019 a PECO phone scam was reported to the Doylestown Township Police Department. The victim received a phone call indicating that he/she was late on their monthly electric bill. The caller wanted the victim to send money to them using bitcoin. The caller indicated that if the victim did not comply they would have their electric shut off.THIS IS A SCAM. If you receive a similar phone call, contact PECO directly to confirm if the phone call is legitimate.

UPDATE:  Route 611 is now open 

Please avoid the area of southbound 611 in the area of the Barn Plaza. Police are on scene investigating a traffic accident. Traffic is heavy. 

Doylestown Township Police are currently investigating a two vehicle traffic accident on the access road behind Doylestown Hospital. The access road is currently closed to traffic.

Doylestown Township Police are currently investigating a two vehicle traffic accident at 229 Windsor Way. Windsor Way us currently closed in the area.

Turk Road between Wells Road and Bucks County Fish and Game is closed until a live wire is removed from the roadway. Doylestown Fire Company is on scene and PECO has been notified.

On 8/29/19 a bicycle was found in the area of Pebble Hill Road. If you own this bicycle please call 215-348-4200 with a detailed description so we can return it to you.  

On 8/29/19 Doylestown Township Police received numerous items from the walking path area near the Central Bucks Family YMCA.  If this is your property please call 215-348-4200 and provide a detail description of the property so we can return it. 

Police are currently on scene investigation a traffic accident at the intersection of northbound Easton Road and Edison Furlong Road.  Use caution in the area. The roadway should be fully open soon.

Edison Furlong Road to Close Saturday for Drainage Improvements in Doylestown Township.

Edison Furlong Road is scheduled to close between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 263 (York Road) in Doylestown Township, Bucks County, for drainage repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Saturday, August 24, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM; and
Monday, August 26, and Tuesday, August 27 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

A large number of plastic storage boxes were found in the roadway in the area of State Street and Memorial Drive. If you can identify the boxes as yours, contact this department at 215-348-4201.
