The Doylestown Township police would like to make you aware of the following:

On March 26, 2018 and on March 27, 2018 the Doylestown Township Police investigated two fraud cases involving phone scam. In each case a male identified himself as Deputy Sheriff Walker from the Bucks County Sheriffs' Office. The male informed the victim that they needed to pay $850.00 cash to avoid a warrant being issued for their arrest. The Doylestown Township police have been verified that this male does not work for the Bucks County Sheriff's Office and it is in fact a scam.

On May 13, 2018 the department received two new reports of phone scams. The most recent scam involves a male purported to be a Deputy Sheriff attempting to collect costs in lieu of arrest for missed jury duties. Call back numbers are left where an answering machine is reached indicating that they have reached the Sheriffs department.

If anyone has received similar calls please contact the Doylestown Township Police at 215-348-4200 and do not provide the caller with any identifying information.
