On June 29, 2017 Doylestown Township Police spoke to a resident on St. Lawrence Way who advised that a check and 2 rings were taken from her residence within the prior 3-4 weeks. The check was cashed on June 27, 2017 in the amount of $100.00.
On July 6, 2017 Doylestown Township Police investigated a report of suspicious persons in the area of Pebble Hill Road. Officers spoke with Ryan Nawn, age 27, and Courtney Watkins, age 19. Upon speaking with Watkins she was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Watkins was taken into custody and Nawn was released.
During the investigation it was determined that Watkins and Nawn had taken mail from mailboxes along Pebble Hill Road and were involved in the theft of the ring and the theft/cashing of the stolen check. Nawn was later located and taken into custody.
Ryan Nawn was charged with Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Forgery, Identity Theft, Access Device Fraud, Theft, and RSP. Nawn was arraigned and bail was set at 10% of $25,000. Nawn was unable to post bail and was placed in Bucks County Correctional Facility.
Courtney Watkins was charged with Burglary, Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, Forgery, Identity Theft, Access Device Fraud, Theft, RSP, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Watkins was arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
