A man who held up a Sellersville convenience store will serve up to 10 years in state prison for the armed robbery.
Shawn Patrick Gallagher, 21, address unknown, pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to a felony count of robbery and related misdemeanors stemming from the July 15 robbery of the Gulf gas station on North Main Street.
Security video from the store showed Gallagher covering the lower portion of his face with a black scarf immediately before entering the store and producing a gun. After receiving about $100 from the clerk on duty, Gallagher then fled through the parking lot.
Two employees and several customers were in the store at the time of the robbery.
After accepting the man’s plea, Judge Jeffrey L. Finley sentenced Gallagher to serve four to 10 years in state prison and an additional five years on probation. He must also make $100 restitution.
Court records show Gallagher is awaiting sentencing on charges including burglary out of Montgomery County.
The case was investigated by Perkasie Borough Police and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kate Kohler.
