14-Year-Old Victim in Croydon Assault Dies; Investigation Continues
A 14-year-old girl who was shot and stabbed multiple times in her Bristol Township home Friday night died this morning of her injuries.
The girl was pronounced dead at 10:05 a.m. today at St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, where she had been admitted in extremely critical condition after the assault.
Bristol Township Police and Bucks County Detectives are continuing their investigation into the girl's death. No charges have been filed at this time.
The girl's parents had returned to their home on Sycamore Avenue in the Croydon section of the township shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday and found their daughter injured.
Subsequently, the parents' 20-year-old nephew, who lived in the same home, was found along State Road in Bensalem, suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the throat. The young man, whose age previously had been reported as 19, remained this morning at Jefferson Hospital Philadelphia in stable condition.
