for the Month of April 2022

ARRESTS

Assault, April 1, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Jake Heilig, M/25, Feasterville, PA, was charged with the above offense after an incident that occurred in March when police were notified that the victim was struck over the head with a glass mug by Heilig. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Stolen Property, April 1, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Brandon Baker, M/33, Philadelphia, PA, was charged with the above offense after police located a vehicle in a parking lot that had been reported stolen. Surveillance video showed a man, later identified as Brandon Baker, exit the vehicle. Baker was taken into custody, arraigned, bail set at 10% of $10,000, and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Simple Assault, April 1, 2022, W. Court Street, Doylestown Borough – A juvenile male was charged with the above offense after the victim came forward stating they were shot with a splatter gun by the juvenile who was riding in the back of a pick-up truck. A Juvenile Allegation was filed.

DUI, April 5, 2022, Union Street, Doylestown Borough – Courtney Vida-Coffey, F/51, Chalfont, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were notified of a hit and run accident. Vida-Coffey had stopped a few blocks away from the accident and police immediately noticed that she appeared confused, had difficulty answering basic questions, and presented with a strong odor of alcohol. After failed field sobriety testing Vida-Coffey was taken into custody. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Harassment, April 6, 2022, Town Center, New Britain Borough – Maureen Pollazzi, F/77, New Hope, PA was cited for the above offense after police were called to District Court for a disturbance. The victim stated Pollazzi struck him in the hand with her umbrella. A Citation was issued.

Ordinance Violation, April 6, 2022, Hellberg Avenue, New Britain Borough – Austin Hofmann-Reardon, M/24, Kennett Square, PA, was cited for soliciting for Venture Solar without a permit. A Citation was issued.

Simple Assault, April 8, 2022, N. Chubb Drive, Doylestown Borough – Gregory Robertson, M/41, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were called to a domestic situation. The victim stated that Robertson began punching the victim and had his hands around the victim's neck as Robertson wrestled the victim to the ground. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Drug Possession, April 9, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Jeffrey Becker, M/39, Perkasie, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were called to a one- vehicle accident. Becker was found to be in possession of illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia. Becker was taken into custody, processed and released. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Criminal Mischief, April 10, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – John Foy, M/22, Ivyland, PA, was cited for the above offense after police were told that a male subject had damaged an outdoor heater belonging to a local business. Foy was observed running up the street as police responded. When officers caught up with Foy, he was in an agitated state. Earlier, it was reported Foy had approached an individual at another establishment and pulled a chain from their neck. Foy was taken into custody. Citations were issued.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness, April 10, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Angela Barber, F/21, Southampton, PA, was cited for the above offense after Barber tried to intervene in a police investigation. Barber became verbally combative with officers. A Citation was issued.

Drug Possession, April 10, 2022, Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough - Danielle Dietsch, F/21, Chalfont, PA, was charged with the above offense after a traffic stop where Dietsch was a passenger. Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in her possession.  A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Assault, April 13, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Dylan Thornton, M/19, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were contacted by the victim who stated Thornton punched the victim in the head after a verbal argument. Thornton was taken into custody, arraigned, bail set at 10% of $10,000 with conditions, and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Public Drunkenness, April 17, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Robert Graham, M/58, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after police were called for a report of a male subject making other patrons uncomfortable. Police arrived and were met by Graham who was very unsteady on his feet, presented with slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes, and an odor of alcohol.  A Citation was issued.

Disorderly Conduct, April 17, 2022, Printers Alley, Doylestown Borough – Sachin Gholap, M/43, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense when police witnessed him urinating in public. A Citation was issued.

Disorderly Conduct, April 17, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Sean Driscoll, M/24, Warrington, PA, was cited for the above offense for urinating in public. A Citation was issued.

DUI, April 17, 2022, Decatur Street, Doylestown Borough – Michael Rose, M/34, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after a traffic stop. Officers detected alcohol emanating from the vehicle. While the Officer was processing Rose's information from his patrol vehicle, Rose fled the scene and was found in the rear of a nearby home. Rose was taken into custody. It was also discovered that Rose was driving on a suspended license. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Harassment, April 21, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – A juvenile was cited for the above offense after police were notified by the victim’s mother of a situation that had occurred the previous day.  A Citation was issued.

DUI, April 22, 2022, E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough – Francis Vesci, M/36, Chalfont, PA, was charged with the above offense after police responded to a hit and run accident in Doylestown Borough. While at the scene, police were notified of a disabled vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the hit and run. The damage to the disabled vehicle was consistent with the hit and run accident. Vesci presented with an unsteady gait, bloodshot eyes, and an odor of alcohol. After failed sobriety tests, Vesci was transported to Doylestown Hospital for a legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Trespassing, April 22, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Kathryn Haviland, F/65, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after police found her on a property that she was previously warned not to return to. A Citation was issued.

Public Drunkenness, April 23, 2022, W. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Matthew Volpe, M/39, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after police responded to a call about an unconscious male. Police arrived to find Volpe laying on the ground. Once they were able to wake him, they noticed that he was visibly intoxicated. Vople presented with slurred speech, inability to maintain focus or walk without assistance. A Citation was issued.

Drug Violation, April 23, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Mauro Maggiani, M/29, Croydon, PA, was arrested on the above charge after police were called to check the well-being of an individual. Maggiani was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant. Maggiani was taken into custody and transported to Doylestown Hospital for evaluation. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Public Drunkenness, April 24, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Bryan Reut, M/28, Quakertown, PA, was cited for the above offense after police found him slumped over in a chair outside of an establishment. Reut began to vomit, had a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and could not stay awake. EMS responded for medical evaluation. A Citation was issued.

Harassment/Disorderly Conduct, April 24, 2022, Harvey Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Dennis Widmann, M/42, Eagleville, PA, was cited for the above offenses after police responded to a fight. Widmann presented with unsteady gait, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol. Citations were issued.

False Inprisonment/Harassment, April 25, 2022, Unami Trail, Chalfont Borough – Michael Veneziale, M/36, Chalfont, PA, was charged with the above offenses after police responded to a domestic situation. The victim claimed they made several attempts to leave the residence but Veneziale engaged in a verbal argument, refused to let the victim leave the home, and hid the victim's wallet and car keys. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

DUI, April 25, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Anthony Cohen, M/28, Ottsville, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were called to a one-vehicle accident. Cohen stated that he was run off the road by an intoxicated driver. Cohen could not describe the other vehicle. Cohen presented with glassy and bloodshot eyes. Cohen was taken into custody after failed field sobriety tests and transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint was filed.

Sex Offenses, April 26, 2022, Doylestown Borough – A juvenile was charged for the above offense after the victim came forward. A juvenile allegation was filed.

Disorderly Conduct, April 30, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – John Parsons, M/35, Doylestown, PA, and Michael Shane, M/36, Doylestown, PA, were cited for the above offense after police were informed of a fight in progress around the corner. Police responded and Citations were issued.

Disorderly Conduct, April 30, 2022, S. Hamilton Street, Doylestown Borough – Jacob Manseau, M/23, Collegeville, PA, was cited for the above offense for urinating in public. A Citation was issued.

Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
 

CRIME AND OTHER INCIDENTS

Theft, April 1, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – An unknown person(s) took packages from the mailroom.

Motor Vehicle Theft, April 12, 2022, Bristol Road, Chalfont Borough – Unknown person(s) stole three vehicles from a lot in the overnight hours. They cut the chain on the main gate to gain entry and then cut the chain link fence surrounding the lot.

Criminal Mischief to Residence, April 15, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) damaged inflatable holiday decorations on the home owner’s front yard.

Theft, April 25, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) stole flowers from the rear of one of the businesses.
