Central Bucks Regional Police Department is pleased to announce the launching of a K-9 Unit as the department welcomed K9 “Baron” to the ranks.  The K9 handler, Officer Andrew Hochmuth, has begun scent training with Baron which will continue through June. Additionally training will take place beginning in October. CBRPD looks forward to Baron’s assistance on patrol and investigations to perform a variety of tasks such as catching criminals, sniffing out drugs and rescuing people. Funding of the K9 Unit was through the Central Bucks Regional Police Foundation.  The Foundation has committed to expanding the Unit with another K9 police service dog in 2020.
