On Saturday, October 15th at 11:30 pm, Bensalem Police responded to numerous 9-1-1 calls for a large number of vehicles at the Neshaminy Mall.  When police responded, they discovered 250-300 vehicles in the lot with hundreds of people watching as vehicles did burnouts and donuts in the middle of the crowd.  Police were able to disband the large group of vehicles without incident.

It was discovered that the same group of vehicles was at the Oxford Valley Mall prior to Bensalem and continued on to the Willow Grove Mall after being removed by Bensalem Police.  This has been a growing problem for many communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania.  The safety and quality of life of our residents is of the utmost importance and the Bensalem Township Police Department will not tolerate this type of illegal activity.

The Bensalem Township Police Department has drafted an action plan if this type of incident should occur again in our township.  We have partnered with the PA State Police and other local municipalities.  Together, we will utilize every technology at our disposal to identify and cite all vehicles and persons that choose to engage in this activity.  All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law once they are identified.

If you have information about the identity of anyone involved in Saturday nights incident,  please contact Bensalem Police.  More importantly, if you see any social media posts or hear that there will be another gathering like this one, we would like to know about it right away.
